Development Volunteer

Volunteer Description Magis Americas seeks a Development Volunteer to support the organization’s efforts to expand its donor base. The Volunteer will provide a wide range of database, research, and general support to Magis Americas’ development team to raise funds for support projects across Latin America, particularly in Venezuela and Haiti. The Volunteer reports directly to the Executive Director and collaborates with the Development Officers on fundraising campaigns. The Volunteer will gain experience in fundraising, international development, and the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit to become proficient in CRM systems and project management. General Responsibilities - Conduct research on potential donors, strategic partners, potential grants, and matching gift opportunities for existing donors. - Provide weekly support of database management management (Mailchimp, Salesforce) including, but not limited to, segmentation and cleaning. - Support donor communications, including preparation of gift acknowledgements. - Assist with major fundraising campaigns and events as part of the development team. - Other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director. Hours/Work Location This is a part-time volunteer opportunity. Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Volunteer is expected to conduct their work remotely.
