Master of Arts Degree in Justice Ministry

The MA in Justice Ministry provides ministers with expertise in dealing with theological and pastoral issues related to reconciliation and peace-making processes within the Church and the world. The program prepares ministers to deal theologically, pastorally, and critically with issues of social justice within the church and the world. Courses in this program enable the students to: 1) attain a basic, yet solid grounding in Catholic theological warrants for justice in a globalized world; 2) gain specialized knowledge of issue areas, e.g.: Reconciliation, Environment, Racial, Social Justice (especially when elective courses are carefully selected); 3) acquire a set of practical skills that enable them to employ best practices in ministry for justice; and 4) integrate theological knowledge, ministerial practices, and issue analysis for justice ministry. This program can be completed full or part-time on campus, or part-time online with no residency requirement.
