Listening, Learning, Creating Change: Student Stories of Ecological Justice
Information
In this workshop, participants will be inspired to listen to the "cry of the earth" and of those who experience ecological injustice, and to create change on their school campus and in their local community. Student speakers from Bishop O'Dowd High School (Oakland, CA) will share stories of engaging with indigenous youth from Navajo Nation, caring for their local bioregion, mobilizing students to strike for Climate Action, and being eco-leaders on campus.
If you have follow up questions for the student presenters, feel free to put them in the Live Discussion box to the right, or send an email to Michael Downs, Director of Justice and Kinship at Bishop O'Dowd High School, at mdowns@bishopodowd.org. You can also connect with Michael on Swapcard by searching his name.
